Christmas is a time for joy, but for hundreds of Kentucky children who are victims of abuse and neglect, Christmas joy depends on the generosity of people.
Sunrise Children’s Services provides care for over 500 of these children across Kentucky and need help in making their Christmas a little brighter this year. Donations can help provide children and teens with a few simple toys, needed clothes and other presents to open on Christmas morning.
For more information on how to help, visit www.sunrise.org or call 1 (800) 456-1386.

  • Moffitt shares Women’s Ministry Program talk

Here is a copy of the talk that I wrote for our Women’s Ministry Program at our church that I would like to share.
We started our Women’s Ministry Program at church with our theme being “Spring Cleanup For Heart and Soul”, Psalms 51:10.
We know in order to help others we have to start this cleanup, beginning with ourselves.
The first thing I am going to do is ask God for guidance.

  • Overstuffed with Stuff

    By Dr. David B. Whitlock

I have too much stuff. I know I do.

But on second thought, do I? How do we know when we have too much stuff? Who is the judge of that?

My guess is, I'm not alone in thinking I have too much stuff; most Americans would join me in the "I've got too much stuff" confessional.  In our consumer driven society, owners of specialty stores make money helping us find ways to store more of our stuff so they buy more stuff for themselves.
