Add color to your landscape year-round by joining the Arbor Day Foundation in August. Everyone who joins the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation with a $10 donation will receive 10 free white flowering dogwood trees through the Foundation’s Trees for America campaign.
The trees will be shipped postpaid at the right time for planting in each member’s area, which falls between October 15 and December 10. The 6- to 12-inch trees are guaranteed to grow or they will be replaced free of charge. Planting instructions are enclosed with each shipment of trees.

The Third Thursday Thing will take place at the Kentucky State University Research Farm from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Aug. 16.
The agenda for the MarketReady “Third Thursday” training will start at 9 a.m. and run until 3:15 p.m. It is as follows:
• Introduction and overview (9 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.)
• Selling to restaurants 1 (9:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)
• Break (10:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.)
• Selling to restaurants 2 (10:45 a.m. - 12 p.m.)
• Lunch break (12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
