Marion County 4-Hers had a blast during their recent week at 4-H Camp. Eighty-four campers, teen leaders, and adults from Marion County travelled to Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp in Jabez from May 28 through June 1. "Celebrating the Super Hero Within You" was the theme of Marion County's week at 4-H Camp. Camp took place during the Memorial Day holiday so campers had the opportunity to reflect on the "super heroes" that served in the armed forces as well as looking within themselves and recognizing their heroic qualities.

I think about food so much this time of the year because vegetables abound. I just came home from working at Courtney Farms in Bagdad with a load of vegetables that will be presented to Community Supported Agriculture subscribers for a weekend gathering of shared experiences and shared food. We are combining our farming efforts to bring food to local families and that includes the pretty things that can be added and eaten in the mix.
