Alberta Beam and William T. Cowherd of Lebanon announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn Beam, to Curtiss Lee Hayden Jr., son of Curtiss Hayden Sr. of Lebanon and Kathy Porter.
Beam is the granddaughter of Everett Jefferson Beam of Lebanon and the late Mary Williams Beam, and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Brown of Lebanon. She is currently a student at the University of the Cumberlands finishing her bachelor’s degree in psychology and counseling.
Stuart and Allison Hagan O’Daniel of Bardstown announce the adoption of their son, Samuel Kiaben, from the Marshall Islands. Sam was born on Jan. 27, 2015 in Arkansas, weighing 6 pounds 6 ounces.
Maternal grandparents are the late Bobby and Terry Guthrie Hagan. Paternal grandparents are Robby and Pat O’Daniel, Lebanon. Maternal great-grandmother is Shirley Guthrie. Paternal great-grandparents are Jeff and Rita O’Daniel.
Sam has four brothers, Sawyer, Miller, Gus and Hagan and two sisters, Josie and Mollie.
Mr. and Mrs. David Mattingly will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 20, 2015. They were married on that date 50 years ago at Holy Name of Mary Church in Calvary. They are now members of St. Charles Church.
Mr. Mattingly is a retired farmer. Mrs. Mattingly is the former Rita Thomas and is retired from Marion County Farm Bureau.
They have four children, John, Marty, and David Mattingly, and Beth Lang; and 14 grandchildren.
A family cruise is planned for later in the spring.
