This past week two classes were held on basic CPR at the Loretto Senior Center by firefighter Josh Ballard. I attended the class on Monday evening and was very pleased with the technique performed now to help keep one alive until help arrives after the 911 call. Talking to others that were at the Wednesday class said they were very impressed also.
Memorial Day generally opens the beginning of swimming pool, hot tub and spa recreational activities in Kentucky. As enjoyable as these activities are practical safety practices should always be observed and reviewed throughout the season. Of the many hazards associated with water, electrical safety is the one most often ignored and misunderstood.
