Oliver also celebrated his 90th birthday on June 20. There was a party held in his honor with friends and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Mattingly, members of St. Vincent de Paul Church in New Hope, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 18.
Mrs. Mattingly, the former Agnes Morris, retired from Maker’s Mark Distillery after 39 years. Mr. Mattingly retired from General Electric after 36 years and is currently a farmer.
The couple have three children and eight grandchildren.

Chad and Erica Mattingly announce the birth of a 7-pound, 15-ounce son, Jace Archer Mattingly, born October 13, 2015 at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Grandparents are Gary and Wanda Clark, Patricia Mattingly, and George Gribbins.
Jace Archer has two siblings, Layne and Ariya.
The annual St. Jude roadblock generated a total of $2,613.94 this year. The late Susan Yocum started this event in 1998 and she and her family have continued it for 18 years. To date they have raised more than $48,000 for this worthy cause.
