    Vacation Bible Schools
    • Lebanon Baptist Church will have their Vacation Bible School June 14-17, 6-8:30 p.m. for ages three years old through fifth grade. The church is located at 144 E. Mulberry Street. Pre-registration may be done by calling the church at 270-692-3031.

    John and Jeanie Yocum and Nancy Douthitt of Lebanon announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Britney Yocum, to Trevor Netherland, son of Linda Howell of Lebanon and Jimmy Netherland of Calvary.
    Yocum is a production control specialist at INOAC Group North America.
    Netherland is employed at American Wood Fibers.
    The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. August 29, 2015, at Centre Square, Lebanon.
    Formal invitations will be sent.

    Mary Joe and Ted Higdon, members of Holy Name of Mary Church in Calvary, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2015. They were married at Holy Name of Mary Church in Calvary on June 12, 1965 by Father C. Leo Smith.
    Ted is self employed and Mary Joe, the former Mary Joe Thomas, is a retired teacher for the Marion County Board of Education. They have four daughters, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    The couple plan to mark the occasion with a family vacation.

    Tracy and Kyle Varney of Lebanon announce the birth of a 3-pound, 13-ounce, son, David Brantley Varney, born May 24, 2015 at Nortons Hospital, Louisville.
    Grandparents are Diane and Jerry Varney of Lebanon and John Smith of Lebanon and Annette Smith of Bradfordsville.
    David Brantley has a sister, Nicole Michelle, and a brother, Nicholas Colton.

    A Gaddie reunion will be held Saturday, June 13 at Lebanon Methodist Church. A potluck lunch will be held at noon.

    Cocanougher 40th Annual Reunion will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Potluck lunch will be around 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on U.S. 150 W. of downtown Perryville (just past Hillcrest Cemetery.)   • Summer vacation may be only beginning for most students, but for 95 high school juniors, including Gabby Barnes of Marion County, the emphasis on education continues. These students, from 62 counties across the state, have accepted invitations to attend Kentucky Farm Bureau’s (KFB) 30th annual Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL), held in two locations this month.
