    Chris Abrams and Krystal Edwards of Lebanon announce the birth of a 7-pound, 15-ounce daughter, Raylee Catherine Abrams, born July 4, 2012, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are Paul and Kim Edwards of Lebanon.
    Paternal grandparents are Ronnie and Diane Abrams of Richmond and Kim Harrell of Lebanon.
    Great-grandparents are Bernard and Henrietta Edwards of Lebanon and Forrest and Faye Turpin of Waco, KY.
    Raylee Catherine has one sister, Aaliyah Jordyn Abrams.

  • The 37th annual Cocanougher reunion was held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Perryville Community Center. About 55 people attended. A potluck meal, sharing of announcements, geneology, picture taking, talking, fun, games, hugs, kisses, story telling, meeting new folks and greeting old friends and family, prayer requests, and a few tall tells were among the highlights of the day.
    The one traveling the furthest was Sarah Lovett of Puyallup, Wash. The remainder were from at least 14 different Kentucky communities.

    Tony and Dan Rodriguez of Wisconsin announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Christina ‘Tina’ Rodriguez, to Edward ‘Eddie’ Goatley, son of Charlie and Brenda Goatley of Springfield.
    The wedding is set for 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Springfield Baptist Church in Springfield. A reception will follow the ceremony at St. Rose School on Loretto Highway in Springfield.
    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

  • Add color to your landscape year-round by joining the Arbor Day Foundation in August. Everyone who joins the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation with a $10 donation will receive 10 free white flowering dogwood trees through the Foundation’s Trees for America campaign.
    The trees will be shipped postpaid at the right time for planting in each member’s area, which falls between October 15 and December 10. The 6- to 12-inch trees are guaranteed to grow or they will be replaced free of charge. Planting instructions are enclosed with each shipment of trees.

    The agenda for the MarketReady “Third Thursday” training will start at 9 a.m. and run until 3:15 p.m. It is as follows:
