Joe Pat and Alyssa Gordon of Lebanon, announce the birth of a 3-pound, 12-ounce daughter, Josie Claire, born July 22, 2011, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
Maternal grandparents are David and Vicky Perkins of Lebanon. Paternal grandparents are E.C. and Carol Gordon of Raywick.
Josie Claire has two sisters, Addison and Makenzie.
The community is encouraged to come by Lebanon United Methodist Church Thursday, Dec. 22-Saturday,Dec. 24 to experience a “Live Nativity”. The Live Nativity will be presented in front of the church from 6-8 p.m. each of those evenings. Lebanon UMC is located at 236 North Spalding Ave.
The 2012 Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference and Trade Show will have something of interest for anyone interested in fruit and vegetable production. This year’s event convenes Jan. 5 at 8 a.m. at Lexington’s Embassy Suites Hotel and concludes around 5 p.m. Jan. 6.
Preconference activities on Jan. 4 include a Winemaking Techniques Workshop from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and a fruit round table discussion from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Amber Lucas was among the 11 students selected from across the state to display an agriculture science project at this week’s Kentucky Farm Bureau annual meeting in Louisville.
Lucas, a seventh grade student from New Hope, exhibited a project called “Bees = Benefits.”
This experiment explored how honeybees affect our everyday lives and the importance of keeping a healthy honey bee population in Kentucky.
Her winning project was awarded $75 and a certificate of recognition for her participation at the state level.
