  • Heartland coalition
    The Marion County Heartland Safe Community Coalition will hold its regular monthly meeting at noon today, Oct. 5 at the Marion County Public Library, 201 East Main Street, Lebanon.  Anyone interested in preventing the misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, among the youth in the Marion County community is welcome to attend.  For more information, call  (270) 692-2421.

    I don’t know how many have asked me “do you not have an article or write a column for the Enterprise anymore?” I tell them how long it has been and they say they really miss reading it. It is unreal but nice to know that so many people do care and enjoy my gab. As a matter of fact it has been since last June for my last article. I have a journal of all my columns and they are for five years.

  • Subrina Catherine LaRue and Harold Dennis Thompson were united in marriage at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17, 2011 in a private ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Leora Bickett of Raywick and the late Joe Bickett.
    The groom is the son of Bertha Thompson of Raywick and the late Bill Thompson.
    Ruthie Kelty served as matron of honor.
    Jerry “Spencer” Bickett served as best man.
    The couple will make their home in Raywick.

    John and Erin Tatum Thomas of Louisville announce the birth of a 7-pound, 3-ounce son, Anthony John Thomas IV, at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville.
    Maternal grandparents are Phillip Ray and Nancy Tatum of Lebanon.
    Paternal grandparents are A.J. and Sarah Thomas of Louisville.
    Jack has two sisters, Hadley Grace and Harper Tatum.
