    The Stayton family reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Bradfordsville Park. Potluck lunch will be at noon at the Civic Center. Plates, cups and utensils will be provided.

    Lyvers/Simpson

    New health officer

    Dr. T.I, Campbell, veteran Lebanon physician, has been appointed temporary health officer at Marion and Taylor counties, succeeding Dr. Genrose DeSimone. The latter, who has held the position since April 1960, has been granted a leave of absence in order to work toward the master’s degree in public health at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Campbell has been a practicing physician in Lebanon and Marion County for 54 years.

  • Youth rally
    Heart of Kentucky Christian Youth Rally will be held at Centre Square Convention Center in Lebanon Friday, Sept. 9, from 6-11 p.m. and Saturday, Sept 10, from noon until 10 p.m.
    Friday night events include a Christian concert with opener SteadFast and Headliner “Building 429” taking the stage at 8 p.m.

    Church benefit

  • Once again, it’s time to decorate store front windows for Ham Days! The winner will receive $50 and a certificate for the best decorated window.
    The theme for 2011 is “Hometown Pride, County Wide” and window should reflect the theme. Windows should be decorated by Sept. 14. If a business is located outside the Lebanon downtown area, contact the Lebanon-Marion County Chamber of Commerce to let them know you will be participating. The winner will be announced at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19.

  • There are many events planned for this year’s Ham Days week, Sept. 19 through Sept. 25.
    The Country Store opens Monday, Sept. 19, and is located in the Stillhouse Restaurant at 202 West Main Street in Lebanon. Look for the pig at the front door beckoning you in to browse and shop from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Ham Days week.

    • Treasure Hunt - Clues will be given daily, starting Monday, Sept. 19, on The Lebanon Enterprise website and Channel 6 TV, WLBN/WLSK and WVLC radio stations and during the local newscasts.
