  • Forrest Dominic Cahoe, 89

    Forrest Dominic Cahoe, 89, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at the Robley Rex Veterans Medical Center.
    Cahoe was a World War II veteran of the United States Army.
    He was preceded in death by: his wife, Frances Eleanor Cahoe; and parents, Francis Bernard and Mary Gertrude Nally Cahoe.
    Survivors include: his two children, Samuel G. Cahoe and Martha Dale Neal.
    A funeral Mass to celebrate Forrest’s life was held at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, in Holy Cross.

  • Charles Noel ‘Junior’ Reid Jr. 62

    Charles Noel “Junior” Reid Jr., 62, Holy Cross, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his residence.
    Reid was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
    He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charles Noel Reid Sr. and Annie Lily Downs Reid; and a son, Robert Neale Reid.
    Survivors include: his wife, Rita Willett Reid; three daughters, Lori Feger and Lisa Miles, both of Bardstown, and Karen Reid, at home; and a son, Jerry Reid of Greenbrier.

    Gary Grady, 70, Louisville, passed away March 18, 2011.
    Survivors include: his wife, Martha Jean Grady; a daughter, Cynthia Shontee (Robert); four siblings; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
    The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at G.C. Williams Funeral Home, Louisville, with burial in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation is after noon tomorrow, March 24.

  • Mary Hardesty Brady, 74

    Mary Hardesty Brady, 74, Bardstown, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
    Born in Marion County Sept. 8, 1936, Brady retired after over 30 years of service as a secretary for the Nelson County Extension Office and was a member of St. Joseph Parish. She was a loving and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
    She was preceded in death by: a son, Bernard Michael Brady; parents, Clarence E. and Annie Belle Kelly Hardesty; and a sister, Nancy Myers.

    C. Harold McCauley, 75, Louisville, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011.
    McCauley was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
    He was preceded in death by his parents: John Lambert and Melvina Galloway McCauley.
    Survivors include: his wife, Lola Key McCauley; two sons, Troy L. McCauley and Michael McCauley, both of Louisville; a daughter, Bonnie Sipe of Jacksonville, Fla.
