    Dilys “Dee” Shelley, 67, Lebanon, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 at her residence.
    She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Muriel Thornley Hartington
    Survivors include:  her husband, Roger Kenneth Shelley of Lebanon.
    A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at the Lebanon National Cemetery. Rev. Darren Gillespie officiated.

    Born August 30, 1912, she was formerly of Marion County.
    She was preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph A. “Joe” VanCleave; her parents, John and Daisy Clayton Black; a son, James William VanCleave; a grandson, Michael G. VanCleave; three brothers, Tom, John Jr., and William “Bill” Black; and three sisters, Arvendaline Stantley, Minnie Black, and Edith Jones.

    James Marcus Bricken, Jr., 88, retired real estate broker and Lebanon native, husband to Anna Wiley Bricken for 66 years, died April 16, 2012.
    Other survivors include two sons, three grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
    Services were held April 19 at Milward-Southland in Lexington with burial in Ryder Cemetery.
    Honorary pallbearers were Jim Grundy, L.E. Thompson, Jr., Ed Gentry, J.W. Ratliff, MD, Wes Daugherty, and Jack Gerstel.

    Mary Dorothy Bard, 85, Louisville, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
    She was born June 9, 1926 in Loretto.  
    She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy Joseph “Joe” Bard; her parents, Thomas Leo and Mary Agnes Nalley Powell; and three sons, David Ray, James Terry and Thomas Bard.
    Survivors include: two sons, Donald Bard and Jerry Bard all of Louisville.

    Joseph Whitney (Dr. Joe) Green, DMD, 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, Kentucky from complications of pneumonia. A lifelong resident of Lebanon and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, he was a retired dentist and President of the Lebanon Water Board, where he served as a member since 1968.

    Philip Leo Luckett, Sr., 61,Versailles, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at his home in Versailles.

    Born in Lebanon, He was retired from Lexmark, Int. and was working in the department of employee insurance for the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet at the time of his death.

    He was preceded in death by his parents William Eugene (Feb. 8, 1990) and Elizabeth Florine Abell Luckett (Oct. 15, 1974) and his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Gardner Luckett (July 7, 2011).
