  • MCPS Reading Celebration is Tuesday, Nov. 15

    The Marion County Career and Technical Student Organizations will hold their 9th annual "Share-A-Story" night from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Marion County High School. Students in grades P-6, along with their families, are invited to come and enjoy this free night of fun.

  • Town hall on school uniforms is Nov. 14

    The Marion County Board of Education wants to hear from the community about school uniforms.

    The district's uniform/dress code committee has scheduled a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Marion County High School.

    Marion County High School Principal Stacey Hall is the facilitator for the committee.

  • Cyberbullying presentation Nov. 9

    A free presentation on cyberbullying will take place from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Lebanon Middle School's library.

    The presentation is being sponsored by the local Heartland Coalition. It's designed to help parents learn about the legalities and consequences of bullying.

    Also, parents will get tips about how they can help prevent bullying/cyberbullying. The presenter will be Hannah Coyt, LPCC, NCC, MHE.

  • Local library to open a branch...in your house

    Starting in late November/early December Marion County Public Library will add even more online resources to make visiting the library, even from your own home, easier than ever! MCPL is joining Kentucky Libraries Unbound, powered through Overdrive, to allow its library patrons access to downloadable audio books, e-books, music, videos and more. It’s like having a library branch right in your own home. All you’ll need is a library card and password and you’ll be set to start downloading when the system takes effect.
