  • Calvary Elementary BETA advances to Nationals

     

  • Abigail Adams is Beta state champion for Special Talent

     

    Abigail Adams performed at the Lexington Convention Center for the Kentucky Jr. Beta Club. She received the first place award for Special Talent representing Marion County Knight Academy.
    Last year, she along with Nick Martin and Gabe Nelson won the National Title for Special Talent in Jr. Beta in Orlando, Florida. The year prior, they placed fourth in the nation in New Orleans, Louisiana.
    This was her first solo act and now she moves on to Nationals this summer in Savannah, Georgia.

  • Local students named to fall 2017 president’s list

    The academic honors’ president’s list for the fall 2017 semester has been announced by Dr. Donna Hedgepath, Campbellsville University’s provost and vice president for academic affairs.
    Allie Clarice Evans, a junior, Bradfordsville; Chelsie Lynn VanWhy, a junior, Gravel Switch; John Patrick Caldwell, a junior; Jacob Tolbert Burdette, a senior; Emily Mae Ford, a senior; Michael A.   • Safety study done at middle school

    Feedback from a recent safety study conducted at Marion County Middle School has given the school’s staff an even better understanding of how they can make the school safer.

    The safety study was completed on Jan. 9 by Green River Regional Education CO-OP, and it included interviews with students, administrators, parents and teachers. The safety study also included safety inspections at the school.
