Marion County High School recently held elections for its site-based decision making council. Dot Caldwell and Lisa Spalding were elected as parent representatives for 2012-13.
However, since more than 8 percent of the MCHS has a student population are minority students, the council must have a minority parent representative.
Any parent who would like to run for this position should contact MCHS Principal Stacey Hall by the end of today, May 9.
The election will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the high school.
