    Wednesday, Nov. 25- Friday, Nov. 27: no school.
    Monday, Nov. 30: pancake and sausage on a stick with maple syrup and toast or assorted cereal and toast, orange wedges, apple, variety of juice and milk.

  • Real world projects

    Marion County High School’s Project Lead The Way students are extremely busy with numerous “real world” projects underway.
    “There’s lots going on up here, in a very good way,” PLTW Instructor Greg Conley said.
    One of the most exciting (and top secret) projects is the Dream Bus, which Superintendent Taylora Schlosser plans to unveil in April of next year.

  • School board meeting schedule to change in 2016

    The Marion County Board of Education will be meeting an hour earlier next year, according to its new schedule, which board members approved Thursday evening.
    All meetings will begin at 5 p.m.

  • MCPS prepares for winter weather season

    In the event that unsafe weather conditions occur while school is already in session, Marion County Public Schools will make a decision based on what is deemed safe for students and will contact parents via One Call Now. Media outlets will be contacted and information will be posted on the MCPS website also. If you are not currently receiving the One Call Now call, or would like to be removed from the list, please contact the Board of Education office at 270-692-3721.

  • MCHS honors veterans

    Marion County High School hosted its annual Veterans Day ceremony Wednesday of last week. MCHS gave special recognition to WWII, Korea, Vietnam and women veterans. This year has been designated the year of the woman veteran. This year is also the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, 65 years since the beginning of the Korean War and the 50th anniversary of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

    Thursday, Nov. 19: biscuit and sausage or assorted cereal and toast, applesauce, fruit cocktail, variety of juice and milk.
