The Lebanon Tourist and Convention Commission and the Lebanon City Council are both scheduled to meet in regular session today, Dec. 10.
The tourist commission is scheduled to meet at 3:30 p.m. in Room 300 of the Centre Square Convention Center.
The tourist agenda includes the following:
- Call to order and reading of the mission statement
- Delegations: Adam Johnson of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail
- Approval of minutes
- Treasurer’s report
- Executive director’s report
- Old business

Marion County Judge/Executive John G. Mattingly is recovering after a three-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon on Spalding Avenue.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, the accident occurred at 18:57 p.m. Nov. 28.
Mattingly, 59, of 65 Country Side Estates in Lebanon was facing southbound on Spalding Avenue and preparing to turn left onto J.T. Whitlock Avenue. He was driving a 2002 Ford Escape.

Dudley Friend Adle Jr. was in line to become Marion County's first constable in nearly two decades, but the Marion County Fiscal Court has put a significant roadblock in the way.

At its Nov. 15 meeting, the court voted 4-0 to require the constable to provide a $2 million surety bond before taking office. (Magistrate John Arthur Elder III was not present for the meeting.)

"What they're saying is they don't want me to do it," said Adle, 75, the day after the meeting.

The fate of an annexation approved more than six years ago by the Lebanon City Council now rests in the hands of the Kentucky Supreme Court.

On Nov. 14, Attorney Keith Brown presented the city's case, while Attorney Jim Avritt Sr. spoke on behalf of the property owners who opposed the annexation.
