  • KSP monthly activity for September

    During the month of August 2015, there were 21 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.
    There were three fatal collisions during the month of September in the Post 15 area.
    Gary Royalty, 68, Springfield was killed on Sept. 1 in Washington County.
    Derek Reul, 26, Campbellsville, was killed on Sept. 26 in Taylor County.
    Lukas Henderson, 22, Greensburg, was killed on Sept. 26 in Green County.

  • Lebanon man indicted for wanton endangerment, unlawful imprisonment and assault

    Thomas B. Mellon, 48, of 2480 Popes Creek Road in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault.

  • Civil lawsuit dismissed against city, police and sheriff’s department

    A civil lawsuit filed by a Louisville man against the City of Lebanon, the Lebanon Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and several individual officers has been dismissed.

  • Gravel Switch man pleads guilty to ‘attempt to commit’ sex abuse charges

    Michael Stoll, 42, of 525 Gravel Switch Road in Gravel Switch, pled guilty to amended charges of first-degree criminal attempt to commit sex abuse on Oct. 1 in Marion Circuit Court. He was originally charged with first-degree sex abuse of a victim younger than 12.
    Stoll was sentenced to serve 60 days in jail, and received 24 months of probation. He was also ordered to pay $175 in court costs.

  • Campbellsville man involved in DUI crash

    Mark Melton, 37, of Campbellsville was cited for DUI Friday, Sept. 18, after a one-vehicle wreck, which occurred at 4:55 p.m. on Campbellsville Highway in Lebanon.
