  • Father files civil suit over son's death

    A Lebanon man has filed a civil lawsuit against the man facing a murder charge in connection with his son's death.
    David D. Litsey Sr. filed a complaint July 24 in Marion Circuit Court against Christopher P. Gribbins and his bar, the Raywick Bar and Grill. Litsey's son, David Litsey Jr., died Nov. 9, 2012, after he was shot outside of the Raywick establishment. Litsey Jr. was 22.
    Gribbins was the bar owner at the time of the shooting, and he has entered a not guilty plea to the murder charge.

  • Spring View Hospital facing civil suit

    A Springfield woman has filed a civil suit against Spring View Hospital in connection with her husband's death.
    Kathleen Wright filed her complaint July 22 in Marion Circuit Court. According to the complaint, Wright accuses the hospital of causing the death of her husband, David Wright, through “acts of omission and/or commission.”

  • Lebanon man indicted for burglary, kidnapping

    Joseph D. Ford, 19, of 50 Woodville Drive in Lebanon was indicted in Marion Circuit Court recently for first-degree burglary, kidnapping a minor, first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault and third-degree terroristic threatening.

  • Lebanon man gets 13 years for assault, abuse of children

    Christopher A. Reardon, 22, of 16 Howard Avenue in Lebanon was sentenced to 13 years in prison in Marion Circuit Court recently for seven counts of second-degree assault and one count of first-degree criminal abuse.
    Reardon was originally indicted for first-degree assault and seven counts of criminal abuse stemming from incidents involving a 1-year-old female, a 2-year-old male, a 3-year-old female and a 5-year-old female between Aug. 1 and Aug. 4 last year.

  • Former school employee indicted for sexual assault

    The former Youth Service Center director for St. Charles Middle and West Marion Elementary schools has been indicted for first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
    Charles E. Spalding, 42, of 125 C. Ashburry Drive in Bardstown was indicted in Marion Circuit Court on June 27 in two separate indictments.
    According to the first indictment, between December 2012 and February 2013, Spalding subjected another person to sexual contact by forcible compulsion.
