  • Marion County men indicted for theft of firearms

    Alvin D. Miller, 31, of 81 Spring Hill Drive in Lebanon was indicted in two separate indictments for two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition (firearm) and first-degree persistent felony offender in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 1, 2014, Miller took or exercised control of a movable property (a firearm) of another, or he aided, abetted or counseled with another in said act.
    The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and had been convicted of at least two felonies after his 18th birthday.

  • Linda Avenue man gets probation for facilitation to theft

    Calob S. Cox, 19, of 379 Linda Avenue in Lebanon received 24 months of probation in Marion Circuit Court recently for facilitation to theft by unlawful taking over $500. This is amended from a charge of first-degree robbery.
    Cox was arrested in connection with a reported assault and robbery Feb. 2 against Leon Ray Hudson at the Marion County Fairgrounds.

  • State Police Post 15 actvity report for April

    During the month of April 2015, there were 18 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.
    There were three fatal collisions during the month of April in the Post 15 area.
    Joseph B. Lewis, age 25 of Raywick was killed on April 12, 2015, in Marion County.
    Taylor Woods, age 17 of Waynesburg was killed on April 24, 2015, in Casey County.
