  • Fatality count is up from last year

    During the month of November 2014, there were 21 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.
    There were four fatal collisions during the month of November in the Post 15 area.
    Brian Chesser, age 29, of Willisburg was killed on 11/03/14 in Washington County.
    Veronica D. Greene, age 46, of Summersville was killed on 11/02/14 in Green County.

  • Former Raywick fire chief pleads guilty to abuse of public trust

    Former Raywick Fire Chief Charles A. "Chuck" Helm pled guilty to abuse of public trust on Nov. 20 in Marion Circuit Court. He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 18.
    Helm, 54, of 1000 Hazy Downs Road in Raywick was indicted in November of 2012. He was originally charged with abuse of public trust between $10,000 and $100,000 and theft by unlawful taking of $10,000 or more.

  • Lebanon man, woman indicted for making meth

    Billy Joseph Feese, 35, of 363 Lee Avenue in Lebanon was indicted in Marion Circuit Court recently for manufacturing methamphetamines first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and second-degree persistent felony offender.
    According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 23, Feese unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamines, possessed two or more chemicals or two or more pieces of equipment with the intent of manufacturing methamphetamines, or he aided, abetted or counseled with another in said act.

  • Louisville man gets two years for burglary, drug possession

    Richard Greer, 21, of 2310 E. Jefferson Street in Louisville had his probation revoked on charges of third-degree burglary and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. His two-year sentence was reinstated for those charges because Greer violated the terms of his probation.
