  • Gravel Switch woman drives through fence, charged with DUI

    Kentucky State Police say a Gravel Switch woman was drunk when she drove through a fence off Loretto Road May 26.
    Ann Marie Spalding, 49, was driving a 2002 Ford F150 northbound on Loretto Road, KY 49, around 8:39 p.m. when she drove straight through a curve north of Burba Road, Kentucky State Police Trooper John Adams said.
    “She just stayed straight and drove right on through the fence,” he said.

  • Frogtown Road man indicted for burglary

    Timothy Allen Bright, 35, of 2960 Frogtown Road in Loretto was indicted for second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property under $500, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO and second-degree persistent felony offender in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about May 7, Bright knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a dwelling with intent to commit a crime, or he aided, abetted or counseled with another person in said act. The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and stood convicted of at least one felony after his 18th birthday.

  • Louisville man gets probation for wanton endangerment

    Christopher Sutherland, 22, of 1732 Sonne Avenue in Louisville received five years of probation on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment.
    Nine counts of rape, 10 counts of third-degree sodomy, 10 counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender were dismissed.

    Michael Johnson Jr., 25, of 337 M. L. King Blvd. #2 in Lebanon was indicted for 20 counts of first-degree rape and four counts of first-degree sodomy in Marion Circuit Court recently.
