    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department
    - On Sept. 15, Ann B. Mason of West Walnut Street in Lebanon reported the theft of several items from her vehicle, including $552 in cash, a Tom Tom GPS, glasses, two ipods, Nintendo games, purse and DVD player, totaling $1,877. The window was also broken out of the victim’s vehicle causing $150 in damage.
    - On Sept. 25, Thomas B. Thompson of Frogtown Road in Lebanon reported $3,500 in damage to his vehicle.

  • Indictments for 10-5-11

    Robert Lucas Cornett, 30, of 222 Shuck Avenue in Lebanon was indicted for second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault (three counts) and second-degree persistent felony offender.
    According to the indictment, on or about Aug. 1, 2011, Cornett intentionally caused physical injury to another person by means of deadly weapon or dangerous instrument. The indictment also reads that he wantonly caused physical injury to three people (including one juvenile). The indictment continues to read that he is over 21 and stands convicted of at least one felony after his 18th birthday.

  • 10-5-11 Marion County Circuit Court News

    Stephanie J. Nichols, 34, and Bradley Underwood, 37, both of 870 Tatum Lane in Lebanon received a dismissal of charges of first-degree sodomy incapable of consent/physically helpless. Charges of first-degree sex abuse victim under 12 (two counts) were also dismissed against Underwood.
    Nichols and Underwood had been indicted in 2010 on accusations involving a 12-year-old.
    The charges were dismissed with leave to reinstate within one year. The defendants both stipulated to probable cause.

  • Bardstown man charged with reckless homicide

    James William Pinkston, 37, of 5318 Loretto Road in Bardstown was indicted for reckless homicide.

    According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 3, 2010, Pinkston recklessly caused the death of his wife, Shannon Pinkston. James Pinkston was the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident at 1:40 a.m. Oct. 3, 2010, on Hwy. 527, four miles north of St. Francis. Shannon Pinkston, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the police report issued at the time of the accident, alcohol was suspected to be a factor.

  • 9-21-11 Police Log

    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department
    - On Sept. 10, Charlie Williams of Gray Street in Lebanon reported the theft of a flatbed trailer and building materials, totaling $4,200.
    - On Sept. 12, Lawson Tractor & Implement Inc., reported the theft of $10,647 worth of equipment. According to the police report, the theft is to believed to have occurred between Sept. 3 and Sept. 6. Lebanon Police Officer Donald Jewell is investigating.

  • Police Log 9-14-11

    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department

    –A school bus driver reported that a field was on fire at 4:12 p.m. Sept. 2 on Siloam Road. The Bradfordsville Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
    - On Sept. 4, Jennifer D. Walters of Lee Avenue in Lebanon reported that several items were stolen, including 60 movies, cosmetics, cellular telephone and a hair straightening iron, totaling $1,935. She also reported that the ignition switch on her van was damaged.

  • Men from New Hope, Gravel Switch plead guilty to rape

    Pascal "Pat" Jones, 51, of 130 Willow Springs, New Hope, pled guilty to one count of first-degree rape. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 27.

    The remaining 111 charges against Jones were dismissed. The dismissed charges were two counts of first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, 43 counts of first-degree sex abuse, 21 counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 16, 40 counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 18, and two counts of intimidating a witness in a legal process.
