  • Louisville man arrested for rape

    The Marion County Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher A. Sutherland, 21, of Louisville Thursday, Sept. 8, and charged him with 10 counts of third-degree rape, 10 counts of third-degree sodomy and 10 counts of first-degree sex abuse.

    According to the sheriff's office, Sutherland's arrest resulted from an investigation in which he was identified as having sexual intercourse, sexual contact and deviate sexual intercourse with a person younger than 16 on at least 10 occasions.

    - Jeff Hatchel of Twin Eagles Lane in Lebanon reported the theft of a Galaxy brand CB, which was removed from his vehicle.
    - Jackie Mattingly of Valley View Apartments in Lebanon reported the theft of a cellular telephone, which was removed from her vehicle.

    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department
    - On Aug. 21, Tiffany and George Redfern of Chestnut Street in Lebanon reported a burglary and the theft of an X-Box game console with four controllers, a 55-inch flat-screen color television and a Wii Kinect game console. All items total $2,050.
    - On Aug. 22, Joseph and Archie O’Daniel of West Mulberry Street in Lebanon reported the theft of a push lawn mower and several other items, totaling $500.

  • Gravel Switch man pleads guilty to sex abuse charge

    Cambron Hunt, 18, of 1660 Landers Creek Road in Gravel Switch pled guilty to first-degree sexual abuse. His sentencing has been set for Oct. 13. His indictment was amended to change the name to Cameron Hunt.
    The sexual abuse charge was amended from an original charge of first-degree sexual abuse victim under 12.
    A charge of first-degree sodomy incapable of consent/physically helpless was dismissed.

    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department
    - On Aug. 16, Pepsi Cola in Lebanon reported the theft of $150 from a coin machine at Greyson’s Outlet in the Lebanon Trade Center and $500 worth of damage to the coin machine.
    - On Aug. 16, Wal-Mart reported a shoplifting case. A total of $287.59 worth of merchandise was stolen. No one was arrested for the incident.

  • Louisville man indicted for sodomy and rape

    McQuinn O. Johnson, 36, of 703 Minette Circle in Louisville was indicted for first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape and first-degree persistent felony offender in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about April 29, 2010, Johnson engaged in deviate sexual intercourse and sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion. The indictment also reads that he was over the age of 21 and stood convicted of at least two felonies after his 18th birthday.
