  • 6-15-11 Police Log

    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department
    - On June 6, two juveniles were cited for shoplifting $58 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart.
    - On June 7, Jack Gray of South Woodlawn Avenue in Lebanon reported a burglary and the theft of a golf cart and a television. He also reported damage on his barn and camper. Officer Corbett recovered the golf cart at East Martin Luther King Avenue.

  • 6-8-11 Police Log

    Reports from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department
    - On May 29, Brad J. Callinan and Lyndsay B. Wethington of Liberty were arrested and charged with the burglary of a residence on Rush Brand Road, approximately five miles south of Bradfordsville. Both Callinan and Wethington were lodged in the Marion County Detention Center. Marion County Deputy Courtney Deering is continuing with the investigation of this case.

  • Lebanon man gets five years on sex abuse charge

    Henry Rodney Beatty Jr., 34, of 222 Cleaver Court in Lebanon entered an Alford plea to first-degree sex abuse. He received five years of probation, and he was ordered to pay $150 court costs and a $25 bond fee.
    An Alford plea is an admission that the prosecution could likely prove the charge, but not an admission to committing the act, according to uslegal.com.

  • 6-8-11 Accident Reports

    May 28
    - The Lebanon Police responded to an accident at 9:34 a.m. May 28 at the intersection of the Marion County Veterans Memorial Highway and Loretto Road, near The Hampton Inn.
    Tammy Libbee, 50, of 4 W. Lawndale Avenue in Lebanon, Ohio, was traveling northbound through the intersection on Loretto Road in a 2008 Saturn. Her passenger was Georgia Frederick, 73, of 117 Shadow Lake in Mason, Ohio.
