  • Armed robbery suspects plead guilty to amended charges

    Three people who were arrested for an armed robbery on North Loretto Road in December of last year all pled guilty to amended charges in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    Andrew Eisiminger, Lydia M. Roller and Charles E. Ulrich were all arrested in connection with the armed robbery that took place during the early morning hours of Dec. 19, 2016 at 1350 North Loretto Road, just north of the Lebanon city limits.

  • Former teacher, band director pleads guilty to sexual offenses

    Curtis Bennett, former Marion County High School teacher and band director, pled guilty to several sex offenses in Marion Circuit Court last week.
    Bennett was first arrested on Jan. 6, 2016, after an investigation found evidence of inappropriate activity between Bennett and a female student.
    At that time, he pled not guilty to the charges.
    On May 2, 2016, Bennett was indicted for 13 felony counts involving unlawful interaction with minors.

    Mary W. Biggs of Long Avenue in Lebanon reported a burglary. According to the police report, the backdoor of her residence was damaged and $500 in cash was stolen.
