    Antonio E. Lugo III, 35, of 535 Spencer Hamilton Road in Loretto was sentenced to 18 months in prison for failure to comply with sex offender registry first offence. A charge of first-degree persistent felony offender was dismissed.

  • Former deputy jailer indicted again

    A former Marion County Detention Center deputy jailer has been indicted for a second time for introducing contraband into the jail.
    Shawn Perkins, 38, of 2230 Cowherd Lane in Lebanon was indicted in Marion Circuit Court on three counts of first-degree promoting contraband.
    According to the indictment, on or about May 9, June 20 and June 26, 2011, Perkins knowingly introduced dangerous contraband (cell phone) into a detention facility or he aided, abetted or counseled with another in said act.
    His bond was set at $10,000.

  • New Haven woman gets probation for drug trafficking

    Mary Delonjay, 46, of 218 Red Bud Drive No. 24 in New Haven received five years of probation in Marion Circuit Court recently for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense (10 or fewer dosage units, four counts) and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense (20 or more dosage units, four counts). She was ordered to serve 180 days in jail and to pay $625 court costs, $1,315 restitution, $65.75 fee and $2,000 in lieu of forfeiture.
