    Reports from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office
    - At 1:05 a.m., on July 5, Jeremy J. Harmon was arrested at 30 Ferrell Avenue in Lebanon by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and charged with fourth-degree assault stemming from a domestic complaint at that address. Deputy Tony Belcher was the arresting officer.

  • Lebanon man sentenced to nearly 20 years for child pornography

    Repeat child sex offender Sherman Gayle Pike Jr., 47, of Lebanon has been sentenced to 235 months in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release for violating federal child pornography laws.

    Pike pled guilty on Dec. 13, 2010, to a superseding information charging him with receipt and possession of child pornography.

    Reports from the Lebanon Police Department:
    - On June 23, C and T Tan Shack reported a case of first-degree criminal mischief after $12,837 worth of damage was done to its air-conditioning unit.
    - On June 24, a 16-year-old white female at the Lebanon Aquatic Center reported being harassed.
    - On June 25, Lewis Carrico of Main Street in Lebanon reported the theft of a Tandem axle trailer valued at $1,500.
    - On June 26, Richard Crompton of Chestnut Street in Lebanon reported the theft of a men’s wallet, which contained $500 in cash.

  • Springfield man facing rape, incest charges

    Christopher Grisby, 30, of 1793 Bardstown Road Apt. 4 in Springfield was indicted for first-degree rape (victim under 12, two counts), first-degree sodomy (victim under 12, four counts), first-degree sexual abuse (victim under 12) and incest (victim under 18, six counts).

  • Lebanon man gets probation on drug charges

    Charles L. Gaddie, 30, of 309 S. Proctor Knott Avenue in Lebanon received five years of probation for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense (three counts) and second-degree persistent felony offender (three counts). A charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

    Reports from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department:
    - On June 17, at 5 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to St. Francis Xavier Church in Raywick to respond to a complaint of a person laying on the front porch at the church. Anthony Fields of Springfield was found on the property. He was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication and lodged in the Marion County Detention Center.
