  • Lebanon man arrested after attempting to flee police

    Two people were hospitalized and a Lebanon man was arrested after an accident April 23 in Lexington.
    According to the Kentucky State Police, Anthony Dixon, 21, of Lebanon was driving a green 2002 Jaguar when he reached a traffic checkpoint at 7:35 p.m. Thursday at the Fayette/Bourbon County line on Bryan Station Road.

  • Inmate facing escape charge

    MARION CIRCUIT COURT

    Phillip H. McBride, 25, who is incarcerated, was indicted for second-degree escape and second-degree persistent felony offender in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about March 9, 2012, McBride escaped from a detention facility after being charged with or convicted of a felony, or he aided, abetted or counseled with another in said act. The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and had been convicted of at least one felony after his 18th birthday. His bond was set at $10,000.

    April 5 - Jeffrey S. Gribbins reported second-degree burglary occurred at 214 Chestnut Street in Lebanon. An LG 32-inch flat screen television, a Sony PlayStation 3 game console, 20 video games, a Haskell .32 caliber revolver, an HP 23-inch touch screen computer with surround sound were reported stolen. The stolen items were valued at $2,730, and a window was broken at the residence, causing an unknown amount of damage.

  • Danville Highway resident gets probation for receiving stolen property

    Roy Thomas McElroy III, 34, of 6960 Danville Highway in Lebanon received 24 months of probation in Marion Circuit Court recently for receiving stolen property less than $500. This was amended from his original charge of receiving stolen property less than $10,000. He was ordered to pay $150 court costs.

  • Lebanon man gets five years for attempted rape, sodomy

    Christopher Reardon, 24, of 25 Parish Avenue in Lebanon was sentenced to five years in prison in Marion Circuit Court recently for second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, three counts of attempted third-degree rape, two counts of third-degree attempted sodomy and second-degree sexual abuse. Reardon also was ordered to register as a sex offender for 20 years.
