  • Lebanon man flees from police in Taylor County

    A Lebanon man is behind bars after attempting to flee the scene of a domestic call.
    Diaz Douglas, 25, of Lebanon, was taken into custody at approximately 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
    Deputy Mark Dickens responded to a domestic call at the intersection of Fairview and Friendship Pike, according to a release from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office. When Dickens arrived, Douglas fled the scene on foot. He was apprehended by sheriff’s deputies moments later on Friendship Pike.

  • South Harrison man indicted on drug charge

    Corey L. Hilliard, 28, of 213 S. Harrison Street in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance first offense, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about Dec. 6, Hilliard possessed a Schedule I or II narcotic drug, or he aided, abetted or counseled another in said act.
    His bond was set at $10,000 with the conditions that he uses no drugs or alcohol.

  • Inmate gets 12 months for assault charge

    Kendrick C. Brown, 24, of the Marion County Detention Center was sentenced to 12 months in prison for fourth-degree assault. His sentence will be served concurrent with his sentence in a federal case.
    This was amended from an original charge of third-degree assault (inmate assault on a corrections employee).

    In other circuit court news:
    - Tracey Scott Smith, 42, of Mock Avenue in Lebanon was sentenced to one year in jail for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense, and third-degree assault.
