  • Lebanon officer graduates from sergeant’s course

    Donald R. Jewell of the Lebanon Police Department, along with law enforcement officers from 18 agencies across the commonwealth were recognized at a graduation ceremony recently for completing the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Academy of Police Supervision.

  • Loretto man gets probation for drug trafficking

    John Adkins, 36, 999 Holy Cross Road in Loretto received three years of probation in Marion Circuit Court recently for second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (less than four grams). He was ordered to pay $150 court costs. He was ordered to serve 60 days in jail, and he was granted work release.

  • Bardstown man indicted for assault

    Danny Ray Reid, 30, of 7491 Loretto Road in Bardstown was indicted or first-degree assault and second-degree persistent felony offender in Marion Circuit  Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about Jan. 2, Reid caused serious physical injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument. The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and had been convicted of at least one felony after his 18th birthday.
    His bond is $50,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim.

  • Bradfordsville woman indicted for child abuse

    Melissa Pittman, 34, of 205 E. Main Street in Bradfordsville was indicted for first-degree criminal abuse and first-degree persistent felony offender in Marion Circuit Court recently.

  • Lebanon man gets probation for wanton endangerment

    Joseph Wathen, 29, of 156 Hamilton Heights or 1075 Bradfordsville Road in Lebanon entered an Alford plea to second-degree wanton endangerment, and he received 24 months of probation in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    By entering an Alford plea, Wathen did not admit guilt but he acknowledged that the prosecution could likely prove the charge against him.
