  • Graham indicted for theft by unlawful taking

    Joseph T. Graham, 18, of 770 Loretto Road in Lebanon was indicted for theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more.
    According to the indictment, between Sept. 12 and Oct. 1, Graham took or exercised control over property of another valued at $10,000, or he aided, abetted or counseled with another in said act. His bond was set at 10 percent of $15,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim.

  • School district accused of wrongful termination

    Three lawsuits were filed against Marion County Public Schools in 2014, and two are still pending.
    The first lawsuit was filed in June and stemmed from accusations of abuse by a former special education teacher. That lawsuit was settled Nov. 17 when the parents of the affected students reached a confidential agreement with the district.

  • Beantown Road man facing burglary charge

    Joseph G. Essex, 32, of 1500 Beantown Road in Lebanon was indicted for second-degree burglary and criminal possession of a forged instrument in Marion Circuit Court recently.
    According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 4, Essex entered or remained in a dwelling with intent to commit a crime, or he aided, abetted or counseled with another in said act. His bond was set at $20,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim.
