  • Decorate windows for Marion County Country Ham Days

    Once again, it’s time to decorate store front windows for Ham Days! The winner will receive $50 and a certificate for the best decorated window.
    The theme for 2011 is “Hometown Pride, County Wide” and window should reflect the theme. Windows should be decorated by Sept. 14. If a business is located outside the Lebanon downtown area, contact the Lebanon-Marion County Chamber of Commerce to let them know you will be participating. The winner will be announced at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19.

  • Busy week planned for Ham Days

    There are many events planned for this year’s Ham Days week, Sept. 19 through Sept. 25.
    The Country Store opens Monday, Sept. 19, and is located in the Stillhouse Restaurant at 202 West Main Street in Lebanon. Look for the pig at the front door beckoning you in to browse and shop from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Ham Days week.

    • Treasure Hunt - Clues will be given daily, starting Monday, Sept. 19, on The Lebanon Enterprise website and Channel 6 TV, WLBN/WLSK and WVLC radio stations and during the local newscasts.

  • Boys drop a pair of close matches

    The Marion County High School boys golf team hosted Danville Aug. 30 at Rosewood Golf Club. the Knights came out on the wrong end of the score, losing by eight strokes.
    Joseph Elder continues to lead the way for the Knights as he shot a 38. Casey Lee shot his best round of the season and posted a 41. Logan Medley tallied a 44, Evan Dye shot a 46, and Aaron Hamilton shot a 48. The Knights gathered a team total of 169, just behind the 161 posted by Danville.

  • Lady Knights lose to Spencer County

    After an emotional week for the Marion County High School girls’ soccer team, the situation hasn’t improved much. With two star players recovering from a serious car accident, the team struggled to rebuild.
    Two more soccer players, sisters Claire and Abigail Hagan, lost their grandfather Bill Hagan unexpectedly last Tuesday. This only deepened the emotional distress that the team is under.  
    With two games on last week’s schedule for last week, the team tried to go on as normally as possible.
