  • Bradfordsville commissioner deploying with National Guard unit

    Bradfordsville City Commissioner Travis May will be heading overseas soon with Bravo Company 1st Batallion, 623rd Field Artillery Regiment.

    A send-off for the 14 members of the Campbellsville-based unit who are being deployed to the Middle East has been scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Taylor County Elementary School, 1100 Lebanon Avenue in Campbellsville.

    The  question  has  come  up  about  disposal of  Live/Cut  Christmas  Trees – these  trees  typically  have  been  found  thrown  on   the  road sides,  at  “pull  offs”,  in creeks  and  branches  around  the  county.

  • McDonald’s bring holiday surprise for Lebanon teacher

    Ellen McFall, a teacher at St. Charles Middle School, has much more joy than usual to share with her students this holiday season. McFall is the recipient of a 2012 MAC Grant from McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana.  
    For the tenth consecutive year, Kentuckiana middle school teachers shared their ideas of how to “Make Activities Count” in the classroom in hopes of receiving one of McDonald’s MAC Grants. The grant program rewards teachers for innovation and creativity in the classroom by providing funding for hands-on learning activities.
