  • JV Lady Knights win one, lose two in Ohio

    The Marion County Lady Knights junior varsity girls basketball team was also in action during the Key Bank Holiday Classic in Pickerington Ohio Dec. 28-30.
    On Thursday of last week, the Lady Knights played the Walsh Jesuit Lady Warriors.
    It looked as if the Lady Warriors would be in control of the game as they jumped out to a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
    However, Marion County had a 25-point outburst in the second period to take a two point lead into the locker room at halftime.

  • Lebanon man indicted for burglary, theft

    Malcome R. Marable Sr., 45, of 745 W. Main Street in Lebanon was indicted for third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $500.
    According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 23, Marable knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a building with intent to commit a crime.
    His bond was set at 10 percent of $10,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the victim or the victim’s premises.
    - Korey Phillips, 24, of 330 Shuck Avenue in Lebanon was indicted for flagrant non-support.

    Saturday, Dec. 25
    - Ashley Kimberlin of Depot Street in Lebanon reported a burglary and several items stolen, including Christmas gifts totaling $150 and a DVD player worth approximately $150.

    Monday, Dec. 27
    - Margo A. Trapp of Cincinnati, Ohio reported the rear window of her vehicle had been broken, causing $400 in damage.

    Wednesay, Dec. 29
    - A juvenile was cited for shoplifting at Kroger. The merchandise, which totaled $3.49, was recovered.
