Matthew Helm, the grandson of Fanny Lambe of Lebanon has received the Whitinger Scholarship from Ball State University.
The scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded by Ball State, and is awarded to 10 students each year. Students are chosen based on their academic ability, character, creativity and potential for leadership.
In addition to the scholarship, Helm is also joining the school’s men’s tennis team. Helm will graduate from Bloomington High School South with academic honors.
