  • Second positive Zika test returned in Hardin County

    Another case of the Zika virus in Hardin County was confirmed Thursday.
    Lincoln Trail Health Department public information officer Wendy Keown said the person recently had traveled to an area where Zika-infected mosquitoes were located.
    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified an area of Miami as having mosquitoes carrying the virus, but Keown did not say where the patient traveled.

  • Missing Boyle County teen found in New Mexico

    A missing Boyle County teen has been found in New Mexico.
    Jenna Oakley, 15, was found by members of the Tucumcari Police Department and the Quay County Sheriff’s Office at about 9 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Saturday, according to Kentucky State Police. Oakley was found in a Motel 6 parking lot in Tucumcari, New Mexico, according to KSP.
    Oakley was “found unharmed and positively identified” and was with Kenneth R. Nigh, 20, of Arlington, Indiana, according to KSP.

    Beech Grove Baptist Church will be having a revival from Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Saturday, Oct 1. Services will begin at 6:30 each evening. There will be a potluck Italian night at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 1 before services. Bring an Italian dish, salad, or dessert. Bro. Dean Carpenter and Bro. Roger Followell will be speaking.
