  • Knights eliminated in first round of district tourney

The Marion County High School Knights basketball team headed to Adair County Wednesday to take on the host team in the opening round of the 20th district tournament. After suffering two losses to the Indians during the regular season, the Knights were looking for a win to earn a trip to the regional tournament.  However, the Indians bolted out to an 18-2 lead early on, and the Knights never could recover. Marion County ended up losing the game and ending their season with a 65-45 loss.
