    The Lebanon Kiwanis Club is having its 2013 Auction Sunday, March 3, 2013, starting at 1 p.m. on Channel 6 TV and 100.9 WLSK FM.
    The club relies on the contributions of civic minded individuals and companies to gather items for the auction. Letters are being mailed to those who have helped us in the past, and soon, Kiwanis Club members will make personal calls on the community to gather this years auction items.

    All Paws Vet Services in Lebanon, has joined other animal welfare organizations that list their homeless pets on Petfinder, which is the oldest and largest database of adoptable animals on the Internet.
    More than 323,300 pets are listed on Petfinder.com, and more than 13,800 animal welfare organizations list their pets online.
    Through Petfinder, potential adopters can search for the kinds of pets they want, and pets are listed based on proximity to the searcher’s zip code.

    In one of the latest dating scams, scammers are stealing pictures of real soldiers and posting them online, stringing victims along.

    The following Western Kentucky University students from the Marion County area were named to the dean’s and president’s lists for the fall 2012 semester.
    The following full-time undergraduate students with a semester grade-point average of 3.4 to 3.79 are named to the dean’s list: Miranda K. Livers, Thomas H. Carrico, James C. Brahm, and Taylor A. Howard, all of Lebanon; and Margaret L. Ballard, Amanda E. Thomas, and Morgan R. Whitlock, all of Loretto.
