    KSP invites farmers to attend outreach program
    The Kentucky State Police will be hosting an outreach program for farmers at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the Marion County Extension Office, 415 Fairground Road, Lebanon. Topics of discussion will include safety regulations, licensing requirements and driver qualifications. For more information and to pre-register, please call the extension office (270) 692-2421.

  • Warriors, come out to play

    The Warrior Dash is coming to Marion County.
    "We describe it as the craziest frickin' day of your life. It's a 5K run from hell, as we call it," said Alex Yount, the media relations director for Red Frog Events, which puts on the obstacle racing series.

  • Baseball Knights split district games

    The Marion County Knights baseball team competed against two district teams in Campbellsville and Taylor County last week. The Knights fell 5-3 to the Eagles on April 17 at Dave Hourigan Field, but picked up a 9-4 win over the Cardinals Thursday on the road. The Knights' overall record now stands at 8-10, with their district record at 1-1.

  • Record-setting feat just Divine

    This week, I am going to use my column as a shout out to a Marion County High School athlete, one who participates in track and field. This athlete is a junior who has high expectations for himself as he competes in several events at each track meet. This athlete also wants to go to college and become a decathlete at whichever school he decides to attend in track and field. This athlete is Brooks Divine.
