  • Community Home Health takes over for Lincoln Trail

    Community Home Health recently acquired the license to in home nursing services in Marion, Washington, Hardin, LaRue, Meade, Breckenridge and Grayson counties. Lincoln Trail Home Health previously provided those services.
    Community Home Health is based in Kentucky and has been providing home health services for 30 years. Their in-home care includes nursing, aide, physical, occupational and speech therapy services.

    Monday, Nov. 25: baked chicken, noodles, spaghetti, green beans, almonds, mixed fruit, roll, and mushroom gravy.
    Tuesday, Nov. 26: brown bag.
    Wednesday, Nov. 27: Pork roast loin, boiled buttered potatoes, spinach, pineapple chunks, and roll.
    Center closed Nov. 28 and 29.
     

  • 11-20-13 Reunions

    Rosenwald
    The Rosenwald Reunion Committee will host a Gala Event from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at the KC Hall. Semi-formal dress. Music will be provided by Frankie Boy.

    Class of 1981-1983
    The classes of 1981, 1982 and 1983 will be having a reunion from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at McB’s, formerly Big Jim’s. South 49 will provide the entertainment. Socializing will be from 7-9 p.m. before the band starts. No formal invitations will be sent.
     

  • Build a float for Dickens Christmas Parade

    The Lebanon Main Street Program will be presenting the 2013 Dickens Christmas Parade on Dec. 6 beginning at 7 p.m. The children will be able to visit and have their picture taken with Santa after the parade at the Marion County Heritage Center.   Anyone wishing to be a part of the parade is asked to contact Mary Lou Brock at 270-692-6002 for more information.

  • Gridiron season a tough one for Knights

    Marion County’s football season came to a close against Russell County in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs on Nov. 8. It was a disappointing end to a season that has seen its share of difficulties, both on the field and off. 

  • Christmas in the Country is Dec. 7

    Bradfordville will be hosting its annual Christmas in the Country celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7.
    The day will begin with a Christmas Bazaar at 9 a.m. at the Bradfordsville School and Community Building. A chili supper will also be served at the bazaar.
    Eight booths have been registered so far. Anyone interested in setting up, at the bazaar should contact Fay Cochran at 270-337-4666.

  • Public meeting Thursday about KY 49 project

    The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is holding a public meeting from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Centre Square Convention Center in Lebanon.
    This will be an informational meeting. Representatives of the transportation cabinet will be on hand to answer questions. Anyone interested can stop in at any time during the meeting.
    The cabinet is preparing to make improvements to KY 49 between Lebanon and Loretto. Anyone visiting will be able to review the KY 49 planning study, alternative solutions and cost estimates.
