  • Knights defeat Green County in a nail biter

    The Marion County Knights varsity basketball team traveled to Central Hardin High School to take on the Green County Dragons in the first round of the 5th Region Tournament Thursday. After taking down the Dragons earlier in the season by 30 points, the Knights found themselves in a close battle that came down to the final minute of the game. Sophomore Latrelle Irvin led the way with 20 points for the Knights in the 50-49 win.

  • Three-Peat

    The Marion County Lady Knights secured their spot in the state tournament with a 56-39 win over Elizabethtown Sunday evening during the 5th Region championship game at Central Hardin High School.
    The Lady Knights jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Elizabethtown could find any offense. Marion County kept expanding their lead, which they held throughout the entire game, until it expanded to its largest of the night at 22 points early in the final frame.  

  • New faces in MCHS sports

    Marion County High School has some new faces, with five new coaches taking over this year in the sports of softball, track and field, boys' tennis, and swimming.

  • Kentucky Humanities Council awards Centre Square Foundation Board grant

    The good news continues for the Centre Square Foundation Board and the Smithsonian traveling exhibit “New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music.”
    The Kentucky Humanities Council recently announced that it was granting the CSFB $1,500 for expenses associated with the 800 square feet, 5-kiosk display exhibit that will be shown in the Fine Arts Building at Centre Square in Lebanon Sept. 21-Nov. 3.

  • Bluegrass Cellular names Williams customer care assistant manager

    Bluegrass Cellular Inc. has promoted Trapper Williams to Lebanon customer care assistant manager. In this role, Williams is responsible for providing quality customer service and training store employees at the Bluegrass Cellular customer care center located at 2158 Campbellsville Road.
    Williams, a former customer care coordinator for the company, has more than two years of customer service experience.
