  • 4-H officers announced for 2014
  • Lady Knights fall to Bullitt East

     For the second time this season, Marion County High School hosted its own basketball tournament. Unlike the Marion County Holiday Classic in December, this one benefited some very special children. 

    On Jan. 18, MCHS hosted its annual Autism Classic. 

    The tournament, which is in its fourth year  brought teams from  around the region to compete for the cause.

  • Making waves

    The sharp scent of chlorine, humidity and sweat filled the air as the Marion County Aquaknights dove into action during their first home meet of the season. Though their season got off to a late start, Marion County showed no signs of slacking off when they defeated their foes, Campbellsville and Taylor County.

    The girls team finished first in the meet with 611.50 points, well above Taylor County’s 308.50 and Campbellsville’s 185.

    Monday, Jan. 27: Pancake and sausage on a stick w/maple syrup and toast or assorted cereal and toast, peaches, variety of juice, milk.
    Tuesday, Jan. 28: Granola breakfast cookie and two toast or assorted cereal and two toast, mandarin oranges, variety of juice, milk.
    Wednesday, Jan. 29: Scrambled eggs and two toast or assorted cereal and two toast, banana, variety of juice, milk.
    Thursday, Jan. 30: Milk gravy and biscuit or cereal and toast, applesauce, variety of juice, milk.

    Conference
    Springfield Baptist Church, 305 Lincoln Park Road, Springfield, will be having a Free Answers in Genesis Conference on Jan. 26. There will be four sessions: 9 a.m. The Seven C’s of History; 10 a.m. Genesis: Does it Really Matter?; 5 p.m. Dinosaurs and the Bible and 6 p.m. Creation Evangelism: Why Won’t They Listen? Speaker will be Robert Gillespie.
