Firefighters from three departments responded to a fire at 4265 Hwy. 289 Wednesday evening.
The initial report came in at 8:21 p.m. Dec. 28, and firefighters from Lebanon, Raywick and Bradfordsville remained on the scene for more than three hours.
The damage to the house was extensive and possibly a total loss, according to Lebanon Fire Chief Ricky Mattingly.
“It'd be awful close,” he said.
The fire started in the living room of the house, but the cause has not yet been determined, according to Mattingly.
