  • Bishop and Perkins marry on April 4


    Patricia Ann Bishop and William Thomas Perkins were united in marriage at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the old Nelson County Courthouse. Judge Dean Watts officiated the ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Ann M. Bishop Spalding and SFC Bryan S. and Sonyn Fournier of Bardstown.
    The groom is the son of Shelbie and Wanda Perkins of Madisonville.
    Witnesses were Ann Spalding and Tonya Lambdin.
    A reception will be held at a later date.
    The couple is making their home in Loretto.

    Contemplative Prayer Day
    The monthly Contemplative Prayer Day at St. Catharine Dominican Motherhouse (2 miles west of Springfield) will be April 21, 2012, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The day includes centering prayer sessions, meditative walking, silence, a presentation on St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower by Sr. Mary Otho Ballard, OP, discussion on the presentation, personal prayer, and a blessing.
