  • Lebanon man gets five years after probation violation

    Christopher Brady, 23, of 110 Mack Brady Road in Lebanon was ordered to serve the remainder of his original five-year sentence after his probation was revoked on original charges of first-degree wanton endangerment (six counts), DUI third offense, driving on a DUI suspended license first offense, and cultivation of marijuana five or more plants.
    Brady was found in violation of his probation because of a DUI conviction in Taylor County.

  • School participates in national attendance campaign

    Marion County High School is participating in a special Ad Council and U.S. Army’s BoostUp Campaign to reinforce the importance of consistent school attendance.
    This week, MCHS is starting an attendance challenge “Capture the Knight” that will continue through the end of the semester.

  • 11-14-12 Birth Announcements

    James Lee Mattingly and Casey Jo Walls announce the birth of a 7-pound, 3-ounce daughter, Skylar Jo Mattingly, born Sept. 24, 2012, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
    Maternal grandparents are Gary and Wanda Walls of Lebanon.
    Paternal grandparents are Mary Denise Mattingly of Botland and O’Dell Mattingly of Lebanon.
    Great-grandparents are Sally and Orville Walls and James and Mattie Mattingly, all of Lebanon, Billy and Bonnie Wade of Bardstown, and Elizabeth Hutchins of Holy Cross.

  • Thompson and Riley will marry Nov. 17


    Sharon Thompson and Avral Thompson of Loretto announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kayla Renae, to Pete Hamilton Riley, son of Kenny and Rita Riley of Lebanon.
    Thompson is employed at Kroger.
    Riley is employed at TBKY-Lebanon.
    The wedding will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 17, 2012, at River of Life Community Church in Springfield. A reception will follow at Centre Square in Lebanon.
    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
