  • Students make dean’s list at UK

    The following University of Kentucky students made the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester: Jason Timothy Clark - senior, Trevor Miles Fenwick - senior, Corey Tyler Hupman - junior, Angela Diane Lyvers - freshmen, Austin Michael Mattingly - senior, Elizabeth Annaliece Mattingly - sophomore, Laura A. Mattingly - senior, Susan Christine Mattingly - sophomore, Cody Lee Rakes - freshmen, Ann J. Rogers - 4 yr. , Samantha Kenlee Sandusky - senior, Katelyn M. Seals - senior, Jane Claire Spalding - senior, and Evan Elizabeth Thompson, freshman.

  • Students named to dean’s, president’s lists at Lindsey Wilson

    Six Marion County residents have earned academic honors at Lindsey Wilson College for the 2012 spring semester.
    Lois J. Lanham of Lebanon and Nicolas B. Schrager of Lebanon are named to the president’s list.
    Audrianna N. Clark of Lebanon, Mark D. Corbett of Loretto,  Brooke D. Lee of Raywick, and Lauren D. Smothers of Lebanon are named to the dean’s list.
    Students named to the president’s list earned a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

  • Hardin makes dean’s list at ECTC


    Joseph Hardin earned a listing on the Spring 2012 Elizabethtown Community and Technical College student’s dean list.
    To be eligible to be listed you must earn a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher, earn a cumulative total of at least 15 KCTCS for the academic term, earn three additional credits or more for the academic term, earn at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and earn a cumulative total of 18 KCTCS semester credits or more.
    Hardin is the son of Jody and Marcia Hardin of Lebanon.

  • Man gets probation for weapons charges

    George M. Smith, 30, of 514 S. Spalding Avenue in Lebanon received two years of probation in Marion Circuit Court recently for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and alcohol intoxication in a public place. He was also ordered to pay $150 court costs and to serve 30 days in jail.

    June 27
    - USA Fireworks reported an incident of theft by unlawful taking over $500 at the Lebanon Trade Center. Fireworks valued at $851.22 were reported taken, and $567.29 of those fireworks were recovered. A 16-year-old male was cited and taken into custody for this incident.
