Bradfordsville Mayor David Edelen knows his city needs a cell phone tower. That belief was reinforced May 2, when floodwaters spilled into town and cut off access into and out of Bradfordsville.

"Through the flood, it showed how much we need cell service," Edelen said.

But for now, Bradfordsville residents will continue to wait for that service.

Marion County residents who were affected by the May 2 flooding will have a chance to meet with FEMA officials at 6:30 p.m. today, June 9, in Angelic Hall at the Centre Square Fine Arts Building in Lebanon.

People who received flood damage, which includes basement flooding, damage to living space and other personal property damage, and who may need to file a claim for flood losses should attend the meeting.

A federal disaster declaration was issued after the May 2 flooding.
