    Many apply for new jobs

    The Department of Forestation of the United States Government, in an effort to aid the unemployment situation in the country, will give jobs to 250,000 men between the ages of 18 and 25 years. It is specified that men applying for such places must be unmarried but have dependents.

  • Louisville man ordered to serve wanton endangerment sentence

    Christopher A. Sutherland, 23, of 1732 Sonne Avenue in Louisville was ordered to serve the balance of his five-year sentence for first-degree wanton endangerment. Sutherland stipulated that he violated the terms of his probation.

    In other circuit court maters:
    - Marion L. Price, 35, of 555 Maple Street Apartments in Lebanon was sentenced to two years for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and for violating his probation on a charge of first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
