  • Submit your photos and drawings for a special Lebanon Christmas ornament

    In honor of Lebanon’s 200th birthday next year, the downtown committee is asking artists and photographers to submit their work to possibly be used for a special Christmas ornament next year. Artists and photographers are encouraged to submit their work featuring downtown Lebanon. The deadline to submit a drawing or photograph is Friday, Nov. 28.

    Proceeds from the sell of the ornament will go to the downtown committee to beautiful downtown.
     

  • Deadline to register in Nov. 4 general election is Oct. 6

    The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 General Election is Monday, Oct. 6.
    County clerks’ offices throughout Kentucky will accept voter registration cards until the close of business on that date. Mail-in voter registration applications must be postmarked by Oct. 6.

    To be eligible to vote, you must:
    • Be a U.S. citizen,
    • Be a Kentucky resident for at least 28 days before Election day,
    • Be at least 18 years old by the date of the next general election,

  • Football: Knights sting Yellow Jackets

    Sometimes all it takes is a point.

    The Marion County Knights squashed the Woodford County Yellow Jackets 30-29 on their own field on Sept. 12. The win brought the Knights’ record to 2-1.

    “It’s a great payoff,” Knights Interim Head Coach Matthew “Moo Moo” Mattingly said after the game.
